Director of Gait Laboratory
Shreveport Unit
Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children, a 45-bed JCAHO accredited pediatric
orthopedic hospital, is currently seeking a dynamic, creative and energetic
individual to develop and manage its gait lab that will be opening in the
fall of 1996.
The qualified candidate should:
7 Have a Masters degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering and
preferably at least five years of experience specializing in gait and motion
analysis.
7 Have 2 years of management experience.
7 Be able to apply engineering knowledge to the assessment of pathologic gait
in a clinical environment.
7 Have the ability to develop and evaluate biomechanical models and computer
based systems to measure human movement.
7 A strong background in research is required.
