FEDIX is a free service, providing access to a database of
U.S. federal funding opportunities. I have tried the service in
the past, and it gave me some useful pointers.
What's new is the possibility to subscribe to 'opportunity
alerts' by E-mail, specifically for your area of interest. This
is something I have not tried, but it should be useful.

Since 1989 FEDIX has been providing comprehensive on-line information on
federal agency opportunities to the research and higher education communities
nationwide. There are currently twelve federal agencies participating in our
