during the termination of gait and balance during quiet and perturbed stand=
ing. The =

studies will combine full 3D kinetics and kinematics as well as surface EMG=

population tested will be normal elderly, peripheral neuropathy, lower limb=
amputee and =

stroke patients.

Candidates with a strong academic background, very good knowledge in biomec=
hanics, =

neurophysiology and clinical experience are preferred.

Institute and is supported by the Medical Research Council of Canada (MRC),=

The Gait and Posture Laboratory is equiped with three OPTOTRAK 3-D sensors =
with =

telemetric option, three AMTI force platforms, 16 EMG chanels and 3-D Water=
loo software. =

The sucessfull candidate will be co-supervised by Dr Prince (biomechanics) =
and Dr H=E9bert =

(MD-geriatry and M.Phil-epidemiology). The position is available immediate=
ly.

Knowledge of the french langage is beneficial but not mandatory.
