I recently heard from the organization 'Medical Aid for El Salvador' of Los
Angeles that they have been offered $1m worth of limb prostheses and equipment
from the prosthetics lab. of Univ. of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) for the
price of $70k. This is because the prosthetics lab. is being shut down.
Their plan is to ship this equipment to El Salvador to assist civilian war
victims. They are therefore conducting an urgent fund-raising for the $70k.
