Hi,

I'm looking for information on a particular femoral component (hip) design
concept. The concept is a reduced midstem diameter with a bulbous stem tip.
The purpose is to decrease stress shielding in the proximal femur. I could
not find any companies on the web that advertised this device but it was
mentioned to me that Osteonics or Biomet might have such a product.

I would appreciate any information on companies that carry this device and any
other information that would be useful.
