To anyone interested,
In 1986 Aleshinsky wrote a series of papers on obtaining mechanical energy
expenditures from joint powers. I am wondering if anyone can elaborate on
what is meant by the following terms: compensated source,
intercompensated source and recuperative source. I suspect it has to do
with what Winter has termed within and between segment energy transfers.
Unfortunately, I am having trouble deciphering how it fits together. Any
comments are much appreciated. The series of articles I am refering to are:

Journal of Biomechanics (1986). An Energy Sources and Fractions Approach
to the Mechanical Energy Expenditure Problem: 1-5. 19(4), 286-315.

Thanks, Sylvain
