All-
I apologise for my delinquency in posting this summary.
I originally asked the list for references to textbooks covering the area of
goniometry.
Thank you to everyone that replied.

The book I use for my students is Measurement of joint Motion: a
buide to goniometry. second edition. Norkin, C. and White D. F.A.
Davis. There are others but this is in my opinion the best. Hope it
helps.

Try the following 2 sources:
Clarkson, H. M., and Gilewich, G. B., 1989 Musculoskeletal Assessment:
Joint Range of Motion and Manual Muscle Strength, London: Williams & Wilkins
or
Norkin, C.C., and White, D. J., 1985 Measurement of Joint Motion: A Guide
to Goniometry, Philadelphia, PA: F.A. Davis Co.

I believe the authors' names are Norkin and White. Their textbook is about
goniometry. I believe they have compiled more goniometric literature into
one textbook than any other authors. Good luck.
***
1. Cynthia C. Norkin & D. Joyce White: Measurement of Joint Motion:
A Guide to Goniometry. 2nd ed. FA Davis 1995.
2. M. Lynn Palmer & Marcia Epler: Clinical Assessment Procedures in
Physical Therapy. JB Lippencott 1990
There are many more texts in this area, but again, these are two I think may
provide the most references for you. I am unsure what your purpose is, but
good luck. If I could be of more service, let me know.

The following book is a comprehensive guide to goniometers (as
opposed to "electro"goniometers):
Measurement of Joint Motion: A guide to Goniometry, 2nd edition
CC Norkin & DJ White
FA Davis Company, Philadelphia, 1995, ISBN 0-8036-6579-2
If you intend to use the book for a course you may be able to
get a complimentary asessment copy from the distributors:
Waverly Europe Ltd, Broadway House, 2-6 Fulham Broadway,
London SW16 1AA, UK. Tel 071 385 2357.
For goniometers & electrogoniometers the following review is
a useful starting point:
Nicol AC (1989). Measurement of joint motion. Clin Rehabil, 31-9.

-"Measurement of joint motion: a guide to goniometry" C. Norkin and D. White
-"brunnstrom's Clinical Kinesiology" by Smith, Weiss and Lehmkuhl
Both of these are currently available form F.A. Davis publishers. Their
phone number is (800)323-3555 or try (215) 440-3001. They're located in
