I submit a request on behalf of a clinician/part time student, who works in
    a spinal injuries unit.

Has anyone done or knows of research into cord blood flow especially with
the cord under tension? Also has anyone information on healing timesfor
    spinal vessels?

Her questions relate to the trend for early mobilisation of patients - to
get them up into a long sitting ( legs fully stretched out in front)
position and doing activities with full trunk flexion, which can start as
early as 3-4 weeks. She is currently doing a bioeng lit seach. As usual i
will post replies to the list.
    thank you
