PhD Studentship (EPSRC/CASE)
A vacancy now exists for a PhD student to join our research group
studying aspects of upper limb biomechanics. The research to be
carried out concerns the measurement and modelling of the kinematics
of the upper limb during selected tasks, in order to build a database
for the design of total joint replacements. The group has well
equipped laboratories together with strong clinical links in both
Rehabilitation and Orthopaedics. The studentship is supported by
EPSRC together with industrial support of DePuy International.
Applicants should have a good honours degree in Mechanical Engineering
or a related discipline and must satisfy EPSRC residence requirements
to qualify for this grant.
Start Date: 1 October 1996 or as soon as possible.
Grant: stlg5190 + stlg2200 p.a.
