  • Board Int. Shoulder Group, call for nominations

Subject: Board Int. Shoulder Group, call for nominations

    Dear all,

During the First Conference of the Internationational Shoulder Group, a technical meeting was held in
which it was decided (amongst other things) to form a management board of the ISG and to become
formally a Technical Group of the International Society of Biomechanics.
The Management Board will consist of a president, a president-elect, a secretary and one member. The
president and president-elect will serve a period of 4 years (2 years as president-elect and 2 years as
president). The first president chosen will serve only 2 years. The secretary and the member of the
    board will serve 2 years.

Eligible for a position in the board are all members of the International Shoulder Group.

The management board will be responsible for the following:
    1. Supervise the organization of regular meetings and approach potential
    organization committees.
    2. Compose the International Programme Committee for meetings
    3. Facilitate information exchange between members
    4. Maintain contacts with the International Society of Biomechanics and
    other international organizations
For reasons of efficient management, the secretariate of the ISG will remain to be based at Delft
University of Technology. The secretary position will therefor roulate between members of the Dutch
Shoulder Group. Hence, only members of the Dutch Shoulder Group can be nominated for this position.

THIS MAIL IS A CALL FOR NOMINATIONS.

Any person, who has an interest in shoulder research and is (or will become) a member of the
International Shoulder Group can be nominated.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the board and more specifically to function as President,
Secretary, or Member (2) of the board of the International Shoulder Group you are hereby invited to
respond to this call. The latter also applies if you have suggestions for suitable representatives that you
    think we should contact.

Voting will be for each position separately. You can nominate one person
    for all four positions.

We intend to mail the list of nominees and the request for votes in a couple of weeks.

    Please end your reply to:
    Int.Shoulder.Group@WBMT.TUDelft.NL (e-mail)
    (+31)-15-2784717 (fax)

or contact DirkJan Veeger (h_e_j_veeger@fbw.vu.nl) or Frans van der Helm
    F.C.T.VanderHelm@wbmt.tudelft.nl) for further information.
