Established, well respected Midwestern sporting goods manufacturer
(primarily bicycle helmets) is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee
daily operation of Testing Laboratory. The position will certify all
raw and component materials and all produced and procured products while
complying with company and industry standards. Laboratory Manager will
also support Engineering and Manufacturing materials research, develop
test procedures and methods for all equipment and monitor reliability
and compatibility for each piece of equipment. Management
responsibility will include one Senior Lab Technician and three Lab
Technicians. Position will report to Director of Quality Assurance.
Qualifications: B.S. with appropriate laboratory experience (3 years
min.) within bicycle helmet and/or sports related product
industry/mechanical aptitude with solid understanding of physics and
mathematics - Exposure to ISO 9001 and/or ISO Guide 25 compliance -
Computer experience MS Windows, Word, Excel and DOS - Working knowledge
of industry standards and practices in relation to helmets would be
beneficial - Excellent communication and people skills - Previous
management experience - Target salary $40,000 + Bonus - Relocation
