Applications/nomination for tenure track position of Assistant/Associate
Professor, Division of Biomaterials, Department of Restorative
Dentistry, at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San
Antonio are invited. Position requires teaching
pre-doctoral/post-doctoral dental students and performing independent
research D.D.S./M.S., D.D.S./Ph.D. or Ph.D. is required. Candidates are
sought who have demonstrated research achievement and ability to attract
external research support.
Experience in such areas as material-tissue interface, tissue response
at cellular molecular level, biomimetics, nanofabrication, development
of new materials, tissue engineering and biological membrane
technologies are desirable. The division undertakes basic and applied
biological and material science projects which are intended to elucidate
mechanisms and result in new biomedical technologies. Expertise is
desired in areas of clinical application involving restoration,
reconstruction, and repair within the clinical disciplines of
orthopaedics, restorative dentistry, and oral maxillofacial surgery.
