  • Assistantships in Biomechanics

    Graduate Assistantships at the University of Toledo

    It is anticipated that there will be several graduate assistantship
    positions available for the Fall of 1997 for students who wish to
    specialize in Applied Biomechanics. Both M.S. (two years) and
    Ph.D. degree (four years) programs, specializing in Applied
    Biomechanics, are offered through the Department of Health
    Promotion and Human Performance. In addition to course work
    and research within the department, collaborative opportunities are
    available through the departments of Mechanical Engineering,
    Bioengineering, Computer Science, Statistics, and Anatomy. The
    program is supported by a comprehensive laboratory. Current
    research interests include biomechanical bases of sport injury,
    functional activity in the elderly, pathological locomotion, and
    factors influencing control of balance and posture. For more
