The Department of Physical Therapy and Exercise Science at the State
University of New York at Buffalo has a post-doctoral position available
for a qualified person interested in medical rehabilitation research.
Fellows can apply to work in one of the areas listed below.
* Biomechanics
Alterations in gait due to age or disability.
* Muscle plasticity
Respiratory muscles in health and disease, including obesity.
Lengthening contraction-induced injury.
* Respiratory control
Control of breathing
Neural control of respiratory muscles
* Electrotherapy in edema control
Post-doctoral positions are funded for periods of one to three years.
Stipends up to $32,300 per year are available depending on previous
experience. Starting date - August, 1997.
