I am a mechanical engineering master's student at the University of
Delaware. I am working on a project which is using Neural Networks to
predict the gait patterns of cerebral palsy patients after rectus transfer
surgery. We are planning on using pre-op EMG and kinematic data to
predict the post-op kinematic data.
To pre-process the data, we have been using Fourier transforms for feature
extraction of the kinematic data but have been unable to find an
appropriate method of pre-processing the EMG data.
Does anyone know of current methods for using EMG data in Neural
networks, others who may be doing similar research, or papers sighting
this kind of pre-processing? Thanks in advance.
