I'm working on a problem involving skin on the palms and soles and the
relationship of the structure of skin (microanatomy or histology?) to the
strength (specifically the puncture resistance) of skin. Can anyone give
me some references for information about:
1. the structure of the skin of palms and soles
2. the relationship of skin structure to strength (puncture resistance
would be great, other types of strength, such as force to rupture or
stress-strain information would be helpful)
3. how to test puncture resistance
