Number of tetraplegic patients

I would like to learn more about the number of tetraplegic patients living
in the States / Europe / worldwide. How many people become tetraplegics
every year? What is the main reason, survival rate after one year, 5 years, ...

Any response to this request is appreciated. If you provide me with some
information, please also mention references, if possible.
