  • Muybridge History

If anyone is interested in the history of biomechanics, I
    would recommend visting the site:
    http://www.linder.com/muybridge.html

It has excellent animated sequences taken from the work
of Edweard Muybridge. One clip shows the danger of
collecting biomechanical data at a frequency that is too low:
two people hammering an anvil never actually make contact
because the impacts occurred at times when the cameras
    were not filming the movement!

In addition there are brief descriptions of his work and
descriptions of the incident in which he shot and killed his
wife's lover (Larkyns) at a party. It also describes Muybridge
fleeing to Central America with his photographs.
