Announcement of Faculty Position in Exercise Physiology
A tenure-track faculty position in Exercise Physiology will be available in
the Department of Physical Education at Brigham Young University for the
Fall Semester 1998.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate lecture and laboratory courses in Exercise
Physiology related to programs in exercise science, wellness, fitness,
cardiac rehabilitation and health risk management. Pursue meaningful
research using a modern Exercise Physiology laboratory leading to
publications in appropriate journals. Pursue internal and external funding
to support and enhance teaching and research activities. Supervise and
guide undergraduate and graduate research projects and master's theses and
doctoral dissertations. Serve on committees, as assigned.
Qualifications
Earned doctorate in Exercise Physiology. The candidate must show evidence
of excellent teaching and scholarship in Exercise Physiology. The candidate
must be able to supervise students in the use of Exercise Physiology
laboratory equipment. The candidate must show evidence of strong research
training and be able to conduct both independent and collaborative research
in Exercise Physiology. Professional involvement desirable.
Salary & Rank
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
