  • Midwest Biomechanics Symposium

    The presenters for the Midwest Graduate Students Biomechanics Symposium have
    been finalized and are listed below.

    The symposium will be held in Horton Fieldhouse of Illinois State University
    in Normal, IL on Saturday, March 1. Refreshements will be served at 8:00,
    with the first presentation beginning at 9:00 am. Lunch (on your own) will
    go from Noon till 1:30, when the afternoon session begins. There is no
    charge for the symposium.

    Directions and details regarding parking and accomodations are provided
    following the presenters.

    Interstates 55 and 74 intersect at Bloomington Normal. Regardless of your
    direction of travel, follow the signs to Illinois State University. You will
    turn off I-55 and take Business 51 south (also known as main street). As you
    go south on Business 51, go past the water tower at the traffic lights near
    the corner of Willow St. Turn into the parking lot next to the football
    stadium. Park at the south end of the lot. From this area, walk along the
    south end of the football stadium to the entrance to Horton Fieldhouse.
    Enter the Fieldhouse using the doors under the curved roof. Go up the stairs
    near the ramp, the meeting room is at the end of the hall.

    Accomodations: At the off ramp from I-55, several motels are available,
    including Holiday Inn, Best Western, Motel 6, and a Super 8. These are most
    convenient to the symposium. Less convenient motels include a Coachmen,
    Fairfield Inn, Ramada, Hampton Inn, Signature inn.
