In my years at Children's Hospital's Motion Analysis Lab I have gain a
bit of experience in improving the percent of reimbursement receive from
third party payers. In short one must be sure that the service provided
is necessary and benificial. An important way insurance companies
verify this is through proper documentation and coding. THe coding is
the most difficult part, but must be done.
Not only does one need to find and properly use the right CPT code, but
also the ICD-9 Diagnosis code. THey will use both codes to see if the
service matched the problem.
