PHYSICAL THERAPY FACULTY POSITION available in accredited entry-level
masters program. Requirements include eligibility for WV physical therapy
license, masters degree (doctorate preferred), and three years of clinical
experience (teaching experience preferred.) Salaries are very competitive.
The curriculum is entirely problem-based. A comprehensive faculty
development program is used to prepare faculty members for their unique
roles in a student-centered educational program. Faculty positions are
twelve-month, tenure-track appointments. Areas of desirable expertise
include biomechanics, physiology, education, clinical neuroscience, rural
health, women's health issues, and health care systems. All faculty members
participate in team teaching, advise graduate students, and participate in
departmental, campus and community service. Clinical practice and scholarly
activity are encouraged.
The Wheeling metropolitan area was recently rated by Rand McNally as one of
America's most livable cities. High quality of life, affordable housing, an
exceptionally low crime rate and a wide range of local activities are
attractive features. Pittsburgh offers additional cultural, social and
educational opportunities an easy one-hour drive from Wheeling.
