Univ. of Wisconsin-Madison
The Engineering Mechanics program, jointly with the Biomedical Engineering
program, invites applications for a faculty position in biomechanics.
Candidates are expected to teach biomechanics and engineering mechanics at
the undergraduate and graduate levels, guide graduate student research in
biomechanics, and participate in the expansion of the Biomedical
Engineering program. The preference is for candidates at the Associate
Professor or Professor level, but outstanding candidates at the Assistant
Professor level will also be considered. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in an
appropriate engineering discipline or applied physics, a demonstrated
record of research accomplishment, and be able to teach graduate level
courses in some of the following areas: biomechanics, continuum mechanics,
dynamics, elasticity, experimental mechanics, fluid mechanics, mechanics of
materials. The position will be available starting with the fall semester,
