POSITION: Biomechanist (Start date: September, 1997)
INSTITUTION: New York Chiropractic College
LOCATION: Seneca Falls, New York
RESPONSIBILITIES: Full-time, 12 month, research position in Biomechanics
with
a primary area of specialization in Gait research. Will be responsible
for
directinig a Gait/Biomechanics Laboratory, conduct research in his/her
primary
area of interest and collaborate on related clinical trials. Will seek
extramural funding and oversee clinical faculty and student research.
Will
be required to periodically teach research-related courses.
QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate in Kinesiology/Biomechanics or a related field
with
emphasis on Gait analysis required. Must present a successful record of
research publications and extramural funding. Post secondary teaching
experience needed. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
required. Demonstrated commitment toexcellence.
LOCATION: The 286 acre main campus is located in the Finger Lakes, wine
country region, of Upstate New York. The Seneca Falls campus centered
between
Syracuse and Rochester on the northern tip of Cayuga Lake. The campus
is
adjacent to a golf course, Cayuga Lake and a state park. A wildlife
refuge
and extensive farmlands provide for excellent outdoor recreational
activities
including boating, fishing, hunting and skiing.
