The Department of Orthopaedic Research and Biomechanics
at the University of Ulm has an opening for a postdoctoral
research fellow.
The project concerns proprioceptive deficiency after inverison
injury. It involves a biomechanical study of the various
structures of the ankle joint, a clinical evaluation of
chronic ankle instability (including EMG activity analysis)
and the development of an appropriate training guide. The
selected candidate will be in charge of the design and
coordination of a multi-centre study involving the military
hospitals of Ulm, Koblenz and Berlin.
The position (BAT IIa, approx. 75000 DM/year) is limited to
three years. Knowledge of the German language is not necessarily
required but foreigners are expected to learn German during
their stay.
