POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
A 2-year postdoctoral position is available immediately
at the Center for Visual Science, University of Rochester.
The project involves measures of oculomotor behavior in
young human infants to large-field visual displays, both
while the infant is stationary (OKN and OKN-suppression)
and while undergoing linear translation (LVOR). Both
video and EOG eye-movement recording systems will be
used. Experience in one or more of the following areas
is preferred, but not essential: eye-movement recordings,
infant testing, binocular vision, vestibular research,
C-programming, digital signal processing, video displays.
Salary level will follow NIH guidelines ($18-25K) based
on years post-Ph.D. Collaborations with other investigators
working in the area of spatial orientation and motor
control at Rochester is encouraged. Send CV and three
letters of reference to: Richard Aslin, Center for
Visual Science, Meliora Hall, University of Rochester,
Rochester, NY 14627 U.S.A. E-mail address: aslin@cvs.

EYE MOVEMENTS and THE VESTIBULAR SYSTEM
POSTDOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE AT YORK UNIVERSITY, TORONTO
A post-doctoral position is available to work on the vestibular
control of eye movements with LAURENCE HARRIS.
$30,000 /annum for 2 years in the first instance.
My laboratory uses neurophysiological and psychophysical techniques
to look at visual-vestibular interactions. I am interested in
people with related experience in either of these fields.
York University provides an excellent research environment with a
strong and cohesive vision group including Ian Howard, Keith
Grasse, David Martin Regan, Hiro Ono, Pete Kaiser, Marty Steinbach,
Otmar Bock, Ken Money, myself and others.
I would be delighted to provide more details of my projects if you
are interested. Please give me a call or send your CV with a
statement of where your interests lie (neurophysiology, human
psychophysics etc...) to:
