POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT:
FOR HUMAN MOVEMENT SCIENTIST/ EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST
Vestfold counties Hospital for Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine,
Kysthospitalet ved Stavern, has
a vacancy.
The hospital is since 1892 beautifully situated on the sunny coast of
south-east Norway. The
centre welcomes patients with back and other muscular-skeleton problems,
amputations, stroke,
post-poliomyelitis, multi-trauma, hip- and knee surgery, etc.
POSITION:
Human Movement Scientist / Exercise Physiologist; Position as a
substitute from 01.09.97 to
31.12.97 with possibilities for extension.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
First: Statistical analyses and reporting of training effects following
an intervention program with
low back pain patients. And some exercise physiology testing of
rehabilitation patients.
Later: More testing and involvement in other projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experienced in computerised statistical analyse (SPSS-PC,
repeated-measurements)
Knowledge and practical experiences in sportsmedicin and rehabilitation,
both medical-biological
and psycho-social aspects.
Good oral and writing skills, in English and preferable Norwegian (or
willing to learn).
One should enjoy working with both research and patients, independently
in an interdisciplinary
environment.
