    Position Announcement

    Position: The Department of Health and Exercise Science and the Claude D.
    Pepper Older Americans Independence Center of Wake Forest University invites
    applications for a full time position as a biomechanics research technician.

    Location: Wake Forest University is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina
    in the Central Piedmont region of the state.

    Employment Date: August 30, 1997.

    Responsibilities: As a full time research technician responsible for
    performing gait analyses on an NIA funded study to determine the effects of
    exercise and diet on physical function in older, obese adults afflicted with
    knee osteoarthritis.

    Equipment: The Biomechanics Laboratory is equipped with a three dimensional
    Motion Analysis Corporation video system interfaced to an AMTI force
    platform. There is also an EMED foot pressure system and a KIN-COM
    isokinetic dynamometer.

    Qualifications: Required: (1) Masters' Degree in biomechanics, (2)
    experience performing gait analysis, and (3) excellent interpersonal skills.
