  • Center of Mass

I have seen references for the center of mass (COM)of an individual
located just in front of the sacroiliac joint (during standing). I know
that the position of the COM is dependent on the orientaion of the body,
and there are even some situations where the COM can be outside the
    body.

For modeling purposes, where would the best location for the COM during
a manuver from a squating position up to a standing erect position? Can
the COM position be the same for a squating position and a standing
position, or does its position vary that significantly?

    Thank you in advance,
