I am interested in people's ability to judge how far they have walked
based upon the proprioception of walking (as opposed to vision, for
example). Ideally, I would like to find a paper similar to Bles's
Stepping Around: Circulr Vection and Cortiolis Effects,
but dealing with perception of linear distance. Anything, however,
dealing with the ability to judge linear distance walked without vision
would be helpful.
This seems like an obvious experiment that should have already been done,
but I have not been able to find a reference on PychLit or any databases
accessable through DIALOG. Any help will be sincerely appreciated.
