How much weight (stress) can be placed on a total knee replacement
without damage to the prosthesis? Is there any data regarding testing
on a total knee prosthesis both in place and pure test data of the
prosthesis itself, e.g., how much weight could a patient hypothetically
lift (knee extensions/leg presses, etc.) without compromising the
integrity of the replaced joint?
I have been asked this question by a person in rehabilitation sevices
and can't find anything in sources I can access. Any help would be
appreciated.
