Colleagues:
The American Society of Biomechanics has been providing online
information for biomechanists via the internet for several years
thanks to the work of the ASB Education Committee (Jill McNitt-Gray
at USC and others). During the past year, ASB conference abstracts
have been formatted for web access and recently the main ASB web
pages have been recreated, expanded and relocated. The new address
for accessing the ASB web pages is:
http://www.orst.edu/dept/HHP/ASB/
Please update your web browser bookmarks for easy repeated access to
the ASB site.
ASB members have recently received the print copy of the summer
newsletter; other can access the latest newletter as a link from the
home page. Commentary, professional news, a calendar of upcoming
biomechanics events, and a job listing are part of what make the
newsletter a valuable resource for ASB members as well as for others
internationally.
In September, the 21st annual meeting of ASB will be held at Clemson
University. Information about the conference can be found linked to
the ASB home page. We are currently working to provide the complete
conference proceedings as a web resource. This will be made available
at the time of the conference. So, save the new ASB web address as a
bookmark and return frequently for access to an expanding database of
biomechanics research.
