MEDICINE MEETS VIRTUAL REALITY: DISCOVERING APPLICATIONS
FOR 3D MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGY IN THE HEALTH SCIENCES
June 5-7, 1992
University of California, San Diego
The purpose of this symposium is to provide a forum for the exchange of
ideas and information pertinent to the development and application of
virtual reality and related technologies in the health sciences.
The symposium will be of interest to physicians, surgeons, psychologists,
rehabilitation specialists, educators, academicians, researchers, robotics
specialists, bioengineers, medical technologists, and developers.
Discussion will focus on applications of VR in medicine, surgery,
visualization, imaging, body mechanics, rehabilitation, medical
informatics, education and training.
Abstracts will be accepted for presentation or poster display until
March 1, 1992.
Instructions for Abstract Form:
1. Place complete abstract on one side of a single page.
2. Include complete title without abbreviation.
3. Include full names of all authors.
4. Include institution of origin in the abstract.
5. Define all abbreviations.
6. Underline name of author who will present the paper.
7. Give name of author to receive communications; include: NAME,
TITLE, INSTITUTION, ADDRESS, CITY/STATE/ZIP, PHONE, FAX.
8. Abstract presenter must register for symposium.
9. Poster presentation is available.
