Our group wishes to simultaneously measure pinch (pulp-to-pulp) force and
EMG signals from muscles acting on the MCP joint. Although there are many
pinch meters available which are calibrated with a dial gauge, we require a
pinch force measuring device which can produce a voltage for conversion to a
digital signal.
It is possible to adapt an existing pinch meter with strain gauges but this
is a very expensive exercise (original device plus labour - $1500AUS).
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I will post a summary of all replies,
Thanks in advance
