  • Post-Doc in Soft Tissue Biomechanics & Neurophysiology

    The Position
Post-doctoral research fellow in soft tissue biomechanics and
    neurophysiology

    Qualifications
Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or
    neurophysiology

    Job Description
The Post-Doctoral Fellow will be a key investigator in a Whitaker
Foundation funded project to examine the neural population response of
cutaneous nociceptors to controlled mechanical stretch and compression.
    Project involves
developing a new apparatus for mechanical testing of an in-vitro
    skin-nerve
preparation, modeling continuum stress-strain state in soft tissue, and
neurophysiological recording from isolated peripheral neurons. A
neurophysiological background, while not essential, will be helpful, as
will previous programming experience in C or LabView. Experience in
