    LECTURER IN SPORT AND EXERCISE BIOMECHANICS


    The University offers an Honours Degree Programme in
    Sport and Exercise Science which started in September
    1997. Applications are invited for a lecturing post to
    support this programme. Candidates should have teaching
    and research experience to post-doctoral level in the
    field of Sport and Exercise Biomechanics. An ability to
    contribute to teaching Research Methods and Motor Skills
    would be desirable. It is essential that candidates are
    able to establish a strong research profile in Sport and
    Exercise Biomechanics. The appointment will be at
    Lecturer level with a starting date in February 1998.

    The University has a reputation for excellence and
    innovation in Sports Development. A Sports Training
    Village with outstanding facilities has just been opened
    and there is a well established sports scholarship
    programme. Full time development squads from National
    Governing Bodies are on campus, and many international
    squads and athletes have been coached and tested in the
    Department of Sports Development and Recreation.
    Successful candidates must be able to adapt to rapid
    change and initiate new developments in the UK and
    overseas.

    Salary: Lecturer Grade A £16,045- £21,016
    Lecturer Grade B £21,894 - £27,985
    The appointment level will depend on qualifications,
    research record and experience.
