  • HELP! EMG Hardware/Software

The Department of Kinesiology at James Madison University
is seeking to procure a new real time EMG system for
instructional and some (minimal) research applications.

Due to cost constraints, we have narrowed our choices to
BioPac MP100WS with software version 3.2 or Noraxon
Myosystem 1200 with Norquest software. We will be using a
PC for data storage and processing. Our specifications
needs are relatively simple: 4-8 channels, upgradable to
telemetry/cordless system, real time monitoring, minimum of
1000 samples per second. Additionally, we have some
specific software functionality that we would prefer but is
far too complicated to convey here.

If anyone has experience with the above listed systems or
their manufacturers, please share with us your
opinions/experiences. Manufacturers and vendors, please do
not respond, we are looking for opinions of actual
    professionals in the field.
