Dear Biomch-l readers,
We are currently analyzing the initiation of rotation in various
armstand dives performed from the 10-m platform. We are aware of literature
relating to acquiring and maintaining of balance in these dives (e.g.,
McNitt-Grey and Sloubounov) but have been unable to locate any references to
previous work on the actual generation of linear and angular momentum
related to the initiation of the somersault. If you know of any such
references or are doing a similar analysis we would appreciate hearing from you.
