It is a pleasure to post this Call for Contacts onto Biomch-L, and I hope
that some of us who are active in this area will get in touch with Dr
Karchemsky.

P.S. I have taken the liberty to make some linguistic corrections, and
not being a physician myself, I hope that I have not made any
serious mistakes. English and slavonic languages are too different

Dear Biomch-L subscribers,
I am the chief of the Ukrainian Center for Children's Microsurgery.
I wish to establish contact with other centers similar to our center.
Our preoccupations are:
- Obstetric and Adult Brachial Palsy;
(neurosurgical and orthopaedic treatment)
In Obstetrical Brachial Palsy we operate on children in the age
range from 3 months to 2 years. In this period we perform:
neurolyzis, neuroraphy, and neurotization of the truncus of the
plexus brachialis. From the age of 2 years age we perfom ortho-
paedic operations: L-Episcopo, Green, Osteotomy of Radius.
- Cerebral Palsy
(neurosurgical and orthopaedic treatment)
In Cerebral Palsy we perform:
- selective division of n.tibialis
- traditional orthopaedic operations (achillis tendon lenghtening,
Eggers op., myotomy of mm. adductors femoris)
- Injuries of nerves, vessels, tendons
(surgical treatment)
- replantation and revascularization of digits, extremities;
- congenital malformation of extremities;
- plastic surgery.
If anybody has experience in this part of medicine, please don't hesitate
to contact me.
I hope that our contact would be useful for our patients, and I would be
happy to provide additional information.
