GREETINGS.
We are in the process of developing a pilot project attempting to
measure the torque responses during jogging and walking gait using a
comparison of brand name shoes which promote torsion systems in the
soles. Our major instruement is AMTI utilising the torque measures in
the gait package. Has anyone measured this and how valid are these
torque measures foe assessing footwear performance. The literature
appears to be very limited for studies using this particular
performance feature. I am sure the footwear manufacturers have
studied this but there is little or no access to the data.
Any help would be appreciated as we are in the early stages and
do not wish to recreate the wheel. Thankyou and I will provide
whatever responses I receive. Tony Bauer.
