Position available: Two-year Post-doctoral Fellowship in the Bone
Research Laboratory, College of Health and Human Performance, Oregon State
University.
Responsibilities: Development and validation of performance
indicators to assess risk of falls to the side by older adults, subject recruitment
and assessments for NIH-supported studies on aging and fall biomechanics
(PI Wilson C. Hayes, Ph.D.). Assist with clinical bone densitometry
program, NIH-supported studies on the effects of jumping exercise on growing
bones (PI: Christine M. Snow, Ph.D.), and other on-going studies in the
Bone Research Lab.
Required: Ph.D. in biomechanics, bioengineering or related field.
Background/interest in orthopedics and aging. Experience in
recruiting, research management and statistics highly desirable.
Applicant should be self-directed and possess strong organizational,
communication and wriiting skills. Training on DXA desirable, but
not required.
