These are the three replies I received, looking for a gait lab in the
Tampa/St. Pete area of Florida...
Dear Glenn,
**************
My name is Monique Butcher. I'm at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL
(Miami area) where we've just ordered a 4-camera (120Hz) 3D Peak Motus
System. I believe Tampa is about 3 hours from here. The equipment
won't
be in until around May though - so I'm not sure if I can help, but did
want
to respond to your request. I do not have a force plate though so
depending on what your friend needed.....I could help, but it wouldn't
be
until summer. I'm a '97 grad in biomechanics from Texas Woman's
University
- where I did my dissertation on javelin throwing - I bring that up
because
I examined many of your investigations on the overarm throw! Please let
me
know if I can help in anyway.
Sincerely,

Glenn
Saw your post on Biomch-L. Saw your presentation up at SEATA last
Friday.
Anyway, we're up in Gainesville about 2 or 2.5 hours from Tampa. I'm a
grad
student at University of Florida. We have a treadmill, insole sensors,
etc.
and can evaluate running mechanics, might even be a good idea for the AT
students or P.T. students. Let me know what her specific needs are or
what
she's looking to obtain information wise.

Hi Glenn,
You might want to try contacting the Tampa Children's Hospital of St.
Joseph
on MLK Blvd (opposite Women's hospital, just past the Stadium). They
have
the only Gait Analysis Lab that I know of in the Tampa area. I believe
that
there is another one in Orlando but I don't know whereabouts.
The phone number is (813) 870-4242

Edmund Cramp
