Movements of children

Small children, aged, say, from 4 to 7 seem constantly to be moving
(unless they are asleep).

I get the impression their movements are more rapid than those of
adults.

Of course if an adult and a five year old are walking along the road
together the child¹s legs must have a higher frequency.

But if they are not locked to such an imposed rate are they not also
more rapid than those of an adult.

Are the angular velocities of natural limb movements of children usually
much higher than those of adults ?

And how about small monkeys ?
