Joint Degeneration & Reconstructive Therapy

Is there anyone who have serious case stories and/or detailed description of
reconstructive therapy for hip joints?

I should be also interested in receiving some general information on how this
therapy is supposed to work (general references wellcome).

A 48 years old Italian amateur athlete with serious degenerative sindrome of
the hip joints will greatly appreciate (as well as I will).
