Dear Readers,
It is time to register to the VIII International Symposium on Biomechanics
and Medicine in Swimming to be held at the University of Jyvaskyla, Finland,
June 28 - July 2, 1998. The Symposium web pages have been updated so that
internet registration is now possible. You can do it by opening
http://www.jyu.fi/swimsymp first and then click page 8 / registration.
Good many of you have taken the advantage of registering early. Those of you
who have not registered yet, please note that inclusion of any paper in the
programme will depend upon receipt of the registration fee from the
presenting author by May 31, 1998. Abstract participants have been notified
about the presentation date and time.
There are 25 scientific sessions assembled in the Symposium programme.
Unfortunately the extensive package did not allow time for a separate
Coaches Clinic to be organised together with the Symposium. However, the
coaches scope is well introduced within the Symposium programme. We are
working on to update the Web pages concerning the programme in the internet
in a few days.
with best wishes of welcome,
Kari L. Keskinen, PhD, PT
