Oral and Poster submissions are invited for this, our second International
Conference. The conference will provide an opportunity to share research
findings through paper and poster presentations as well as informal
discussions and is designed to focus upon scientific questions of exercise
science. To that end, each day will be taken up by scientific discussion
and debate. Supporting the conference will be a social programme.

    CONFERENCE THEMES:
-Exercise, Motor Control and Neural Plasticity
    -Exercise, Aging and Adaptation
    -Exercise and Cardiovascular Control

    KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:
-Prof Roger Enoka, Department of Kinesiology, University of Colorado at
    Boulder, USA.
-Prof Loring (Larry) B. Rowell, Professor of Physiology and Biophysics and
of Medicine (Cardiology), University of Washington, USA.

    VENUE:
The Second International Conference on Exercise Science will be held at the
Gold Coast campus of Griffith University. The campus is situated in
Parklands Drive, Southport, Gold Coast, Queensland, and is about 40 km
north of Coolangatta airport (Gold Coast Airport) and about 85 km south of
Brisbane airport. Coolangatta airport is typically "The Coast", relaxed,
friendly and well serviced by Ansett Australia.

The Gold Coast campus of Griffith University is small and therefore easy to
move around, find a carpark space and access to all the university
facilities. The campus is 4 km from the Pacific Ocean and approximately 5
km from Surfers Paradise and the beautiful Marina Mirage restaurants and
    boutique shops.

I look forward to welcoming you to "The Coast" and Griffith University. As
they say, "Beautiful one day, perfect the next!"...it is true for the Gold
    Coast.

-Professor Greg Gass, Chair, Organising Committee

Thursday evening with a keynote address and official welcome. This will be
followed by scientific papers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and will
conclude with the New Investigator Award.
