    Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering

    The University of Calgary, Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing
    Engineering, invites applications for an Assistant Professor position
    (tenure-track). Candidates must have an earned PhD in Mechanical or
    Manufacturing Engineering or a related field and will require expertise
    in mechanics and design with the primary focus in mechanics. Industrial
    and teaching experience will be an asset and a research interest in one
    or more of the mechanics areas such as biomechanics, solid or applied
    mechanics, or computer-aided manufacturing would be an additional
    advantage. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the
    undergraduate and graduate level in both Mechanical and Manufacturing
    Engineering, conduct research and supervise graduate students. The
    position is effective July 1, 1998.

    Applicants should submit an up-to-date curriculum vitae and the names of
    three referees by May 30, 1998.
