Theo Smit from the University Hospital Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, The
Netherlands had made available via the ISB Finite element Meshes repository
http://www.cineca.it/hosted/LTM-IOR/back2net/ISB_mesh/isb_mesh.html
an FE mesh of a lumbar spine segment. It is based on the CT-scans of a
44-years old L4
vertebra, to which the neighbouring vertebrae as well as the intervertebral
discs have been added. It is quite detailed, as it is hand-made using brick
elements. It includes all ligaments.
Thanks a lot, Theo.
