  • markers for CT

    Dear all,

I want to use small spherical markers (typical diameter 2 mm or greater)
for the registration of CT scans of sheep mandibles. Which kind of
material should I use for the markers? The material should not produce any
artifacts on the CT images. Biocompatibility is no concern because the
markers will only be fixed to the teeth during scanning and will be removed
afterwards. Is tantalum a good choice? And are there any ceramic
materials that present a good alternative?
Then, of course, the next question is: where can I find or buy such
markers. The problem is that I need them rather urgent (in two weeks).

Thank you very much in advance,

    Hans
