This is the second and last call for the Gatorade Sports Science Institute
Student Grant Program for Latin America, 1998. Please forward to anyone you
know who is a Latin American student.
The Latin America Board of Advisors in Science and Education of the Gatorade
Sports Science Institute (GSSI), is initiating a student grant program to
promote research in physical education, sports nutrition, exercise science
and sports medicine in this region of the world. Latin American students
currently enrolled in schools in Latin America are eligible for the two new
grants: A "research project support grant" (awards of up to U.S.$1.000
each), and an "ACSM Annual Meeting Presentation Grant" (awards of U.S.$1.000
for travel and lodging or registration support). Deadlines are July 1 and
August 1, respectively. A number of competitive grants will be awarded in 1998.
You can find more information and the application form for these grants at
the website of GSSI:
http://www.gssiweb.com
where you will also find well-organized information for exercise scientists
of many different backgrounds.
